River House Inn, a Baymont by Wyndham

What a great hotel. Beautiful location, right on the river. We were able to watch a gorgeous sunset from our balcony. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Even called me to let me know I forgot something after I left! The shower head and water pressure were better than our own at home! that was glorious. Easy to walk to the old downtown and all the restaurants and shops along the river. For the best room rate, call them directly. Only cons: It is a little bit old and dated. Our room had some weak spots in the floor that were very loud when you stepped on them. They no longer include breakfast with the stay.

It's a nice place river view, which they had a light on the river too see at night like some hotels do for an overview at night. The breakfast was ok

I've stayed here a few times now while visiting in-laws and I've always been happy with the choice. Rooms are cozy. Beds are comfortable and not springy. The river view rooms are awesome; it's very relaxing listening to the river lap against the bank. You will notice the sound of vehicles driving over the steel deck of the nearby Siuslaw River bridge. If you happen to be there on the last day of the month you might get to watch them open the drawbridge for what seems to be a routine maintenance - that was pretty cool but don't be alarmed by the siren. Breakfast is decent; no hot eggs, just hard boiled but there are pancakes. Proximity to Old Town is a big plus - a short walk to several good places to eat, gifts and trinkets, and if you're a gallery buff it's heaven on earth for you. Florence is a nice little town/city where they roll up the sidewalks when the sun goes down and pretty much everyone, locals and visitors alike, are fine with that.

Our room was really small. For being one of the more expensive places to stay in town I was expecting a much larger room. The customer service was great, it was nice having a breakfast to eat in the morning. It would have just been nice to have a large room with maybe a table in it.

We absolutely loved the view from our room. The room was clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly. Florence is a very cute town and the bay is lovely. The hotel is close to lots of restaurants and shops and a beautiful bridge. The bridge is really cool to look at. HOWEVER, the vehicles going over the bridge makes a loud noise that is really difficult to ignore. If you're a light sleeper, this might not be the place for you.

Basic room. No housekeeping unless you make a reservation with the front desk. Cold room. Took several hours for small base heater to warm room. Had to ask for blankets as the one on bed was not adequate. Good location in Old Town and to event center. Nice view. Front desk very helpful and friendly.

Room was decent, though maintenance was a little funky. (Who puts a long toilet seat on a round toilet bowl?) Best part was the beautiful river view. (Ask for it, as not all rooms face the river.) As others have mentioned, the highway bridge has steel grating and is noisy when cars drive over it. Might annoy you if you're sensitive to noise. Excellent location for walking to several nearby restaurants. Temperature was not an issue in October, but I don't think the rooms have A/C, could be an issue in July/August.

Absolutely fantastic stay! I needed to get a room last minute and River House Inn Saved the Day!!! My room was cozy with an incredible view!!! It was so relaxing to step out on to the balcony in the morning with coffee. I slept incredibly- bed was perfect, sheets fresh and plenty of pillows. Great location in Old Town and easy to get too. Enjoy your stay !!!

The River House Inn is a nice option if you’re staying in Florence. The rooms are nice and the location next to the historic area is great. Checkin / out: Checking in and out was quick, efficient, and easy! Parking: There’s ample parking just outside of the rooms. Cleanliness: The room was very clean, but it definitely had a musty smell. You get used to it after a while, but it wasn’t really pleasant. Bed: The bed, pillows, and blankets were all wonderful! Nearby: Probably the best thing about the River House is it’s proximity to the charming old part of Florence. There are tons of shops, restaurants, a nice bakery, and so on. Wonderful!

Nice place. The housekeepers clearly care about their work, my room was very nice and clean, which I appreciated. You can tell they do their best to make do with the old space, some of the furniture is updated. The towels are really nice, the same kind I use at home, better than the thin, scratchy ones you sometimes get. Beautiful view of the river. Something that's not their fault is the loud sound of the cars passing over the bridge almost constantly, which can be pretty distracting. Maybe a future investment in better soundproofed balcony doors would be worth it? Otherwise, you're right on the edge of old town Florence, within walking distance of the best the town has to offer. I loved exploring this cute little town. Breakfast is typical mid-tier continental. They've got pancakes, basic yogurt, toast, and juice.
